Together with Prof. Andrés Montoyo, Prof. Patricio Martínez-Barco and Ester Boldrini, I was an organizer (co-chair) of the WASSA 2010 (1st Workshop on Computational Approaches to Subjectivity and Sentiment Analysis), celebrated with the 19th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2010). 
This year, we are organizing the second edition of the workshop - WASSA 2.011 at ACL-HLT 2011, in Portland, Oregon, on the 24th of June.
Additionally, I am one of the organizers of NLDB 2011.
I was a PC member in the following events:

I was awarded the following scholarships:
  1. Scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science, for a 3-month traineeship at the Saarland University, with the aim of obtaining the European mention on my PhD title (May-August 2010).
  2. PhD scholarship from the University of Alicante (2007-2011)
  3. Scholarship from the CLEF for the participation in the summer school on multilingual information access with the title "TrebleCLEF Summer School on Multilingual Information Access", celebrated between the 15th  and 19th of June 2009 in Santa Croce de Fossabanda, Pisa, Italy. ( summer school director Prof. Carol Peters)
  4. Scholarship from the Foundation Duques de Soria for the participation in the summer courses in language technologies with the title "Técnicas de extracción y visualización de información: aplicación en la construcción de portales especializados", celebrated between the 7th  and 11th of  July 2008 in Soria, Spain.   5. Microsoft scholarship for the participation in the summer school "EuroLAN 2007", entitled "Semantics, Opinion and Sentiment in Text", organized by the Faculty of Computer Science "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania. (summer school director Prof. Dan Cristea)
